Soccer Shuffleboard

Objective of the game
Soccer Shuffleboard is a hybrid game that combines the precision of shuffleboard with the kicking skills of soccer. The goal is to kick a soccer ball into scoring zones on a shuffleboard-style court, earning points based on where the ball lands while avoiding penalties.
Players & Equipment
- Players:
- Can be played 1v1 or in teams of 2, 3, or 4 players.
- Each player takes turns kicking the ball toward the scoring zones.
- Equipment:
- 1 Soccer Ball per Player: Size 3, 4, or 5, depending on skill level.
- Shuffleboard Court:
- A flat surface (grass, turf, pavement, or gym floor).
- Marked scoring zones (10, 8, 7, and penalty areas) similar to shuffleboard.
- Boundary Lines: To define the playing area.
Game Setup
- Choosing Teams & Starting the Game
- Players divide into two teams or play individually.
- A coin toss or closest kick to a target decides the starting player.
- Marking the Court
- The court has a starting zone where players take their shots.
- The scoring area includes:
- 10-point zone (furthest target area).
- 8-point zone (middle target area).
- 7-point zone (closest target area).
- Penalty area (deducts points if ball lands here).
Gameplay
- Kicking the Ball
- Players take turns kicking the ball from the starting zone toward the scoring area.
- The ball must stop completely in a scoring zone to earn points.
- If the ball rolls out of bounds, no points are awarded.
- Scoring System
- Points are awarded based on where the ball stops:
- 10 points – Furthest scoring zone.
- 8 points – Middle scoring zone.
- 7 points – Closest scoring zone.
- Penalty zone – Deducts 5 points.
- If a ball is partially in two zones, the lower point value is counted.
- Knockout & Strategy
- Players may knock an opponent’s ball out of a scoring zone to reduce their score.
- If a player knocks their own ball out of bounds, they lose their turn.
- Alternating Turns
- Players or teams take turns kicking one ball per round.
- Rounds continue until all players have used their soccer balls.
Winning the Game
- The game is played to a pre-determined score (e.g., 50, 75, or 100 points).
- The first player or team to reach the target score wins the game.
Additional Rules & Variations
- Out-of-Bounds Rule
- If a ball rolls out of bounds, it earns zero points.
- Trick Shot Mode (Optional)
- Players can attempt curve shots, chip shots, or spin kicks for added difficulty.
- Team Play Variation
- Teams alternate kicks and use strategy to block or knock out opponents’ balls.
